These owners were awesome. They were great hosts on our beer stop while we riding the nearby Root River trail.

Oddly, my highlight was the safe that was converted to a restroom. It was a very cool feature.

The beer i chose was ok but the service and friendliness made the place awesome.

Its a bank! Its a brew pub! Its a food joint! Its a 131 year old building serving quarter pound hot dogs and other hearty food to go with their beer. I dont like sauerkraut but I love theirs. Creamy, a bit sweet with finely ground cabbage.

Like many of the main street businesses in Preston, Trout City is in a well-preserved old building. If you like old architecture like I do, you'll want to soak in the rustic dark wood interior of Trout City.

A great place to get a beer and some good food. The owners are so nice and make you feel welcome every time. The beers are tasty and a great value. The food is solid pub grub with a dash of gourmet (the Swedish meatball sandwich is killer). Everything looks homemade including locally made bread. They also serve locally made hard seltzer and kombucha. Stop in, you won't be disappointed!
